Tax Manager
A rapidly growing and well respected advisory firm is looking to add a Tax Manager to their team. As a Tax Manager, you'll work with small to middle market organizations as the face of the organization to help these clients run their businesses. Essentially, you'll act as a mini CFO consulting the business owners on tax implications, tax strategies, due diligence, supervising staff, research as well as resolve complex issues, developing the long-term strategic plans, as well as building out the team. This role will also have business development responsibilities with the ability to make additional commissions as well.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the tax services engagements including the staff, technology, and returns
- Prepare individual (1040) and trust returns
- Perform tax analysis
- Develop relationships with current clientele as well as build future relationships
- Work with leadership to establish a long term strategic plans for the organization
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Master is highly preferred
- Certifications are a plus
- 8+ years of income tax experience. Preferably a public tax accounting and corporate tax background
- Ability to work some weekends during busy season and not afraid to get your hands dirty if needed.
