My client an excellent Healthcare Communications agency is actively in search of a Group Account Director with strong Medical Communications industry experience, specifically with a firm foundation in Publications & Publication Planning. Individuals often have the same experience but function under a different job title; all are urged to apply (Account Director, Sr Account Director, Group Account Director, Client Service Manager, Client Services Director, etc.). This is a great opportunity for individuals with several years of progressive client and staff management experience operating within a medical/healthcare communications agency to lead key agency account(s).

Client Job Requirements:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in publications planning within a medical/healthcare communications agency setting
- Successful experience leading, developing, and implementing publication plans
- CMPP a plus
- Responsible for managing assigned account(s) client relations
- Publications /Publication planning industry experience is required
- Strong strategic ability & experience to manage client’s demands as well as work with internal tactical teams to deliver.
- Organic growth of existing clients as well as lead efforts for identifying potential new business opportunities
- Stay current on account / therapeutic developments and potential opportunities
- Firm understanding of the Publications & Publication Planning industry & guidelines
- Prior experience with database management program (i.e. Datavision)
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Outlook.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field desired
- Ability to understand/get up to speed regarding scientific content within accounts
- Staff Management/mentoring experience
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word)
- Any therapeutic area will be considered
- Strong team player, as well as individual drive to succeed and work independently
