Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer will have a solid background in automation and controls to successfully prepare proposals and scope of works for our customers’ industrial automation and control system’s needs.
Responsibilities:
Travel to customer sites to meet with potential new and existing clients to review project scope, resources, and schedules. Point of contact for customer’s change orders, inquiries, and software and hardware related questions. Develop proposals that will include; technical descriptions, project deliverables, project pricing, terms, etc.
Provides sales support during proposal presentation, pre-award negotiations, and review and kick off meetings with clients. Understand, provide risk analysis, evaluate, and qualify opportunities. Provide conceptual design of control systems. Manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to coordinate project needs with engineering resources/personnel and other subcontractors. Represent company at industry events and tradeshows.
Experience:
Detailed knowledge of automation systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, industrial networking, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, and DCS products and platforms
Knowledge, skills and abilities with the following is essential to success: Variable Speed Drives: AC, DC & Servo, Siemens, ABB, and Rockwell Automation. PLC: Siemens, Rockwell, GE. SCADA: Siemens WinCC, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX, and Wonderware System Platform and InTouch. COMMS: Ethernet, ProfiNet, Profibus, Modbus. DCS: DeltaV and ABB.
Ability to work independently. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
