Job Details:
Senior Network Applications Engineer
Configure, support, monitor, and maintain the organization’s network, telecommunications and mobile systems. Build, configure, deploy, and manage Windows servers.
Responsibilities
Perform server (Windows/ /VMware) administration.
Work in a team environment providing support to the help desk technicians to resolve network hardware/software related problems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and resolve problems with servers, network hardware, printers, and software.
Ensure policies and procedures controlling access to network resources for both company and other agencies meet regulatory requirements and best practices.
Manage and maintain 365, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange infrastructure including DHCP, DNS, user accounts, group policies, and security. Configure and manage enterprise software using group policies and Active Directory. Implement security rules based on job function.
Configure backup devices, software, and manage backup media, storage, and retention.
Perform IT projects related to deploying new hardware, software, and upgrading networks and servers.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Evaluate new and emerging technology to leverage in support of company initiatives and aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Experienced professional with the ability to managing a large network and systems utilizing enterprise class tools and technologies while adhering to best practices and standards.
Must be highly productive, with the ability to automate systems and technologies to maximize efficiency and up time..
Must have a broad knowledge of IT operations and technology, networks, Microsoft network infrastructure, Windows Servers, desktops systems, VMware, virtualization, office productivity software and MS SQL.
Knowledge of telecommunications and mobile devices.
Self-motivated and able to prioritize work, competing schedules, and managing projects.
Solid troubleshooting and design skills.
4+ years network administration in a medium to large corporate environment.
3+ years telecommunications administration ( including secure text messaging) in a medium to large corporate environment.
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization, regardless of technical competencies.
