Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting
Role:
A fortune 1000 organization located in Center City Philadelphia is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This individual will report to a Financial Reporting Manager and be primarily responsible for working with the SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Compile information used to prepare the Company's quarterly and annual SEC filings
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for centrally managed transactions (e.g. stock-based compensation, equity transactions, internal use software, commissions, etc.) ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance with accounting principles, and alignment with underlying transaction support.
- Maintain critical documentation and provide certain requested support to internal stakeholders, as well as internal and/or external auditors
- Support consolidations during monthly and quarterly close process
- Collaborate with various functional departments (Accounting, Finance, SEC Reporting, Investor Relations, Tax and Treasury) as appropriate and assist with ad hoc request.
- Perform all accounting and reporting duties in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
- Interact with both internal and external auditors as needed
- Participate in various special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of relevant auditing or public accounting experience with publicly traded clients and/or within a publicly traded organization.
- CPA or progress towards is highly preferred
- Prior SAP experience is highly preferred
