Principal Accountant
Role:
As a Principal Accountant, you'll be supervising general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and some project accounting related to inventory, supply chain and operations. This would include assisting with month end close, journal entries, general ledger, analysis, reconciliations, working with billing and invoicing, working with the audit team, as well as reporting. This is a highly interactive and visible position within the organization!
Responsibilities:
- Perform and lead general ledger accounting: journal entries, reconciliations, month end close, etc.
- Act as a partner to the operations and supply chain team to help them understand revenues, costs, as well as respective reporting
- Supervise a team that will be helping in process improvements, implement controls, and improve efficiencies
- Be a specialist within the ERP system in order to improve reporting
- Work with billing and invoicing to ensure payments are made and any discrepancies are resolved
- Perform and generate reports for operations, field personnel, other corporate accounting teams, etc.
- Project accounting as assigned or as needed
- Supervise, train, and mentor other accountants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required in Accounting or Finance discipline
- CPA or progress towards is a plus
- 5+ years of prior corporate accounting within a mid-size or large corporate accounting team within a manufacturing or similar industry
- Prior public accounting experience is a huge plus as well
Working Conditions:
This will be a 100% remote position through September. After September, this will be an in office position but have the opportunity to work from home 1 or2 days a week.
