Job Details:
My client is a well regarded high end commercial and industrial Electrical Contractor. They are seeking a project engineer to be a part of a team of coordinators and engineers developing AutoCAD drawings and working in an independent environment. Define project scopes, site surveys, perform engineering calculation and provide technical assistance through the construction phase. It is the responsibility of the project engineer to oversee and maintain an effective Quality Control system. This is an exempt position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Review all design submittals for coordination, constructability, and compliance with contract requirements. Monitor, coordinate and manage the electrical design development along with the rest of the project design.
-Review and check submittals, shop drawings, equipment data, material samples and/or manufacturers for compliance with contract drawings.
-Maintain logs and supervise RFI's, Daily Reports and Submittals.
-Perform field inspections of electrical system installations verifying that work is in place according to drawings and specs and work meets or exceeds code requirements. Inspect materials for compliance with submittals and shop drawings.
-Support Project Manager with electrical project establishment and closeout.
-Troubleshoot and resolve problems relating to electrical Quality Control.
-Coordinate electrical Quality Control work with other grades and Welsbach superintendence to ensure safe and seamless management with all trades and activities.
COMPUTER SKILLS
-Demonstrated proficiency and direct experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications.
-Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit Architectural, Revit Structural and NavisWorks a plus.
-Working knowledge of estimating software desirable.
-Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project desirable.
