DevOps Engineer
Due to incredible growth, my client has a full time opening for a DevOps Engineer. This position will involve the following:
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze and break a process down into increments then propose an appropriate automation tool and create scripts to orchestrate automation of process
- Monitor automated processes for failures and provide resolution to failures
- Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
- Controls user access and passwords.
- Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
- Monitors usage and performance.
- Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
- Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
Knowledge and Experience requirements:
- 5+ years of related Automation or Systems Engineering experience
- Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems and related utilities and hardware
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure preferred
- Strong scripting experience with Python (preferred), PowerShell, BASH, KornShell, etc.
- Experience with or knowledge of the following:
- VM creation tools such as Packer (what we use), VMware, etc.
- Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
- Code/Artifact repositories such as Subversion and JFrog Artifactory
- Skilled in software installation and maintenance
