Job Details:
My client is looking for an All-Star Estimator for Commercial and/or Multi-Family Construction in the Baltimore/DC region:
- Minimum five years successful experience performing duties and responsibilities, preferably for project types in the DC-MD-VA region to include: multi-family, schools, healthcare, museums, etc.
- Proficient at understanding and translating construction plans, drawings, specifications and generating accurate take-offs and bids;
- Proficient understanding of building codes, construction divisions, developing schedules, project critical paths, material procurement, etc.
- Keen attention to detail, organization and effective time management skills;
- Proficient use of auto-cad and estimating, scheduling and project management software such as Primavera, Procure, Prolog, Constructware, etc.
- Excellent writing, grammar and presentation skills;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and relationship building skills;
- Effective ability, temperament and skills to resolve conflict, work effectively under pressure and adapt effectively to changing conditions and diverse cultures;
- Professional, courteous and effective disposition for motivating and nurturing business development, customer, supplier, team and other business relationships.
- College degree in construction management, engineering or architecture preferred;
