Job Details:
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the MEP department
Job Duties:
- Support and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing projects
- Oversee staff of engineers and designers
- Hire and train new staff
- Sign off all design work
- Create a prepare designs using design software packages for HVAC & Building Automation Systems, Electrical systems, plumbing, etc.
- Create construction documents
- Prepare bids
- Maintain budgets
- Meet with clients
- Visit construction and work sites
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience working as an Engineer in the MEP consulting work
- Supervisory experience, with experience leading departments preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- Very strong oral & written communication skills
- Experience meeting with clients
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience working with design software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Experience working with a variety of industries including education, commercial, industrial, life sciences, etc.
- Ability to multi-task
