Engineering & Research Technician Manager
Greater Lehigh Valley (Willing to offer relocation package)
Role:
As a Engineering & Research Technician Manager, you'll be working at a large research and development facility reporting to the Lead Research Engineer. This would include the design and development of new containers, new metrology tools, scientific testing and failure analysis processes as well as address other customer issues towards improving customer relationships. As an Engineering Technician, the candidate will work very closely with process and design engineers to test new containers for various processes. This will also work with technicians and with other departments from research and development (R&D), Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), and procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Design, assemble, test containers of all sizes
- Manage inventories, parts as well as rooms associated
- Design and perform quality assurance tests
- Work with vendors to make sure construction, modification, and specifics are on time and accurate
- Operate test equipment to evaluate data; Design drawings through 3D Cad software for documentation and future instruction materials
- Prepare technical design materials and documentation
- Support R&D, Manufacturing, procurement throughout the process
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline is required. MBA or Master's is a plus
- 4+ years of prior experience is required.
- Work with 3d CAD software is absolutely required
- Prior experience within the Food, Beverage, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and/or Oil & Gas industries is highly preferred
