Job Details:
Account Manager - Polymer
The main job responsibility is the sale of company products to existing and potential Key Accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the single point of contact for all Key Account requests. Manage and coordinate all account needs including sales, developments, and day to day needs.
• Implement sales strategy which includes investigating and developing new markets and customers as guided by sales and market strategies.
• Use CRM tool (Salesforce.com) efficiently to document activity and manage territory; Prepare meeting reports and action plans..
• When necessary, identifies and acquires appropriate resources to implement sales strategy including Customer Technical Development engineers or Sales Development Managers.
• Implement account pricing strategy within agreed upon guidelines.
• Work with Marketing Managers on development of opportunities for new products
• Coordinate the review and negotiation of legal documents (NDAs, Supply Agreements and other documents.)
• Acquire key information (sales forecasts, service needs, market trends, and competitor information) from customers and share with sales/marketing/product management to strengthen company position.
• Enhance customer relationship marketing to key accounts within assigned territory.
• Achieve superior customer satisfaction and ensure customer loyalty at key strategic accounts.
• Monitor competitor activities.
• Update the Account Development Plan (ADP) and the Key Account Plan (KAP) as needed
• Assist in development of the budget, market, and sales strategies
• Provide accurate forecast.
• Deploy sales excellence methodologies and tools
• Assist in credit management and cash collection
• Perform other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in a related technical field (engineering, chemistry, material science, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years’ of sales experience in a specialty chemical company with a technical understanding of polymers and applications.
• Willing and able to travel approximately 50% including overnight (domestically).
