Manager of Engineering - Manufacturing

Role:
As a Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for the successful execution of company's metrics and maintaining a strong culture of employee engagement. This position will allow someone to be creative, forward thinking, and highly visible within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, set up and execute assembly process of various components.
- Manage production and operations to achieve attainment of the production plan
- Create, develop, and implement procedures and standards for the engineering department as well as the technical requirements of the production equipment
- Responsible for the Manufacturing Engineering function for a heavy equipment manufacturing factory with cutting, fabrication, welding, machining, heat treat and assembly operations and significant technical process requirements (heat treatment, materials joining/welding, metallurgy, CNC machining)
- Oversee the development and administration of manufacturing costing parameters, accurate machine and labor standards, the sequencing of operations, bills of materials, and technical manufacturing processes and requirements in collaboration with design and application engineers, manufacturing team and support departments.
- Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensures the Manufacturing Engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively.
- Responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process (tooling, fixtures, jigs, etc.).
- Review and approve product design or modifications
- Work closely with and communicate with Sales to interpret specifications, blueprints, etc.
- Maximize the level of output and evaluates production performance and focuses on continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of prior Manufacturing Engineering Management
- Prior experience with stamping or fabrication equipment is preferred
- Lean Certification and/or Techniques is a plus
