Data Analytics Director Architect

- Manage and further develop on existing and new analytics solutions to enable easy access to key data insights.
- Implement and development of the Data Governance principles and guidelines. Ensure data governance guidelines are implemented consistently throughout the organizations’ reporting entities and tools.
- Ensure reporting quality and accuracy by evaluating, integrating, complementing data sources.
- Establish the enterprise reporting and dashboard standards.
- Establish standard work for the Data Science Systems unit so that they may deliver quality and timely reporting deliverables to requesting departments.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess and maintain the validity and integrity of internal data sources.
- Assist in the identification of areas for improvement, new analytical reporting, data mining products, and features that enable data-driven decision making for the organization. Coordinate implementation and development of these products and encourage adoption to enhance reporting and analytic capabilities.
- Manage the Data Science Systems unit staff to ensure effective use of resources, high productivity and high quality output.
- Ensure the privacy and security of as outlined in policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance.
- Five (5) or more years in analytics, data science and business intelligence with increasing responsibility and at least 3 years in management and leadership capacity.
- Hands on experience working with building data science solutions. Experience and proficiency in emerging big data analytics tools and architecture and analytics in a data warehouse environment.
- Data analysis experience in the areas of medical or health services is preferred.
- Analytical techniques with emphasis on database design and manipulation, complex query design, spreadsheet analysis, statistical program use, and complex problem solving.
- Must have proficiency in data mining and analysis tools including: Microsoft Access, Excel, word processing, SSRS, SAS, SPSS or other statistical packages.
- Extensive expertise in data analytics and business intelligence function. Knowledge of data visualization and Business Intelligence tools preferred (Tableau, PowerBI).
- A solid understanding of leading edge Business Intelligence technologies and best practices.
- Strong critical thinking skills required, ability to demonstrate sound analytical reasoning, ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and changing priorities, ability to work well in a team environment and build effective relationships with Team Members at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, strong organizational skills, detailed oriented.
