VP of Data Warehousing
My client has a full time opening for a VP of Data Warehousing. This role will oversee a team of 20 including the BI team, Database Administrators, and the Data Warehouse team. You will establish and standardize corporate Data Warehouse policy throughout the company. Role will involve the following:
- Consolidate core data, providing for a centralized data warehouse (or warehouses) of data for the organization, providing for standardized data and operational efficiencies across departments.
- Meet with internal departments to determine data lineage in the organization. Establish how each department sources, gathers, accesses, inputs, updates, and uses data.
- Determine and document how departments analyze and report data and develop methods to improve metrics.
- Research, select and establish centralized company wide data management warehouse platform(s).
- Coordinate with IT on organization and accessibility of data in the warehouse(s).
- Provide leadership to the business and technical teams on best practices for data governance.
- Maintain, control, and enhance necessary processes for the data warehouse.
- Train departments on how to create and maintain reports from the data warehouse.
- Provide maintenance to the warehouse for regulatory and company wide changes.
- Establish policies and procedures, initiating appropriate strategies to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, control, and overall data quality for subscribing systems.
- Document, implement and communicate standardized data definitions and processes for the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Master Data Management, Microstrategy and or Informatica.
