Job Details:
Seeking an experienced Scientist/Chemist to lead R&D activities for Agricultural chemical manufacturers.
Job Duties:
- Oversee the R&D team
- Be the technical experience for the department
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Create and assign SOP's
- Conduct meetings with clients to determine their needs
- Conduct meetings with staff to relay client's needs and expectations
- Maintain budgets and timelines
- Oversee testing
- Make sure that all necessary equipment and materials needed for research efforts are readily available
- Complete and file all necessary paper work
- Provide detailed and accurate reports to management and clients
- Interact with other departments critical to the success of the projects
- Travel as needed
Requirements:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in scientific field (Chemistry STRONGLY preferred)
- 10+ years project management experience
- 5+ years bench research
- Ecotoxicology experience
- Experience with agricultural chemicals
- R&D experience in Analytical Chemistry
- Client interaction experience
- Strong communication skills with the English language (Oral, written, reading, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain timelines and budgets
