Job Details:
The Enterprise Desktop Team is looking for a Desktop Systems Engineer who will be responsible for design, implementation, and support of client technologies to enhance end user productivity and experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing emerging/innovative technologies for end user computing, primarily focusing on the end device environment including but not limited to; deployment, management, security, and support of the managed endpoints, the management platforms used to deploy and manage the endpoints leveraging enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft System Center, Mobile Device Management platforms, and VDI among others.
Candidate Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent work experience and technical training acceptable
• Experience in programming and scripting languages. PowerShell
• Experience with creating Ad-Hoc reports utilizing SQL Reporting Services.
• Microsoft certifications preferred
• 3-5 year’s technical experience managing desktop/laptop environment using management
tools.
• Experience with SCCM
• Administration of Mobile Device Management experience such as AirWatch preferred
• Track record of working well with varying levels of clients, vendors, and technical analysts in
high pressure situations and complex environments using effective change management
• In-depth understanding of the Windows OS platform through 8.1
• In-depth understanding of Microsoft SCCM
• Strong customer focus and management of client expectations
• Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Administration of end user workstation management platforms such as Microsoft SCCM or
similar products
• Create and maintain system images, desktop and application virtualization
• Perform enterprise-wide system patching for OS and standard applications
• Automate software application deployment and create application packages
• Create and maintain group policies for business rule enforcement
• Administer client facing systems including, but not limited to, desktop monitoring tools,
mobile device management solutions, and Active Directory administrative duties
• Serve as 3rd level technical escalation point for client technology issues
• Coordinate technical support with vendors and other IT teams when necessary
• Mentor team members on technical skills and best practices
• Researches and tests new client hardware and software technologies
• Lead projects to implement new technology and perform maintenance and upgrades to
existing environment
