Job Details:
IT Software QA Analyst
My client is looking for a QA Tester who is a self-starter and can learn quickly to join their team. This person will have about 2-4 years total experience and be well versed with software testing. The ideal candidate will be interested with different methodologies and techniques of software testing.
Responsibilities:
• Test and manual application platforms reviewing code in .NET based applications.
• Maintain existing automated suites to keep up with the regular product updates
• Ensure proper operation of scheduled and manually run automated test suites and take appropriate action upon failure
• Work closely with developers and team members to ensure adequate automated coverage in order to reduce the scope of manual Regression testing
• Write detailed defect reports and work with development to assist with their troubleshooting, resolution and validation
Requirements:
• BA or BS degree in computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience testing applications and supporting backend systems
• Extensive knowledge of software development, QA methodologies & release process
• Proficient with QA testing methodologies and test types such as Test Plans, Suites and Cases, Functional, Negative, Integration, Security, Performance, Regression
• Experience with source code management and programming .NET
• Experience running automated tests
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of software development, QA methodologies & release process
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to discuss technically complex subjects with both technical and non-technical people.
