Java Message Broker Developer IIB
The WebSphere Message Broker (WMB/IIB) Developer role is critical to successfully complete integration projects across large projects.
Due to the complexity of systems deployed in the larger DOE enterprise, each integration project requires dedicated developers to support the integration. Without this specialized expertise, integration projects would take significantly longer because application teams would have to spend additional time developing their connection and transformation components.
The WebSphere Message Broker (WMB/IIB) developer will be part of the implementation team providing expert knowledge and hands on development skills as needed to implement Messaging, transformation and routing.
Responsibilities:
· Designs and Develops message sets, maps, message flows and configure/develop adaptors.
· Understands and guides other development teams around best practices to create web services or any other appropriate integration end-points.
· Conducts interface requirements analysis of current Client’s business applications.
· Deploys integration components in development / test environments.
· Develops components as needed in Java or ESQL.
· Works with other data analysts, business users, and IT professionals to ensure that data requirements are met with the highest degree of integrity and efficiency.
· Ensures that documentation is captured, maintained, available to, and understood by business and/or IT partners.
· Participates in and facilitates business process analysis and requirements gathering sessions to ensure that all interested parties fully understand the requirements and data necessary to support requirements.
· Escalates critical technical issues and potential problems as needed to Data API Project Manager to address any Data API related issues in advance of deadlines.
· Participates in focus group sessions as needed for information discovery.
· Understands business data, data mapping, and operational data models.
· Designs and documents conversion and interface specifications.
· Produces high quality, bug free and highly scalable work.
· Applies excellent analytical skills and pays exceptional attention to detail and the process.
· Coordinates activities with business and technical teams.
· Communicates effectively.
- You must have experience in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer. The Authorized User may seek Specialists in the following areas (list is not exhaustive)
• Backup and Recovery • Security.
- You must be able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Required Skills:
· Experience in analysis and design and development and implementation in all of the following: IBM WebSphere Message Broker & (WMB), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM WebSphere MQ.
• Experience in ESQL or Java in developing components.
• Experience in all of the following: SOA, Messaging, Transformation Engines, Web Services, and Data Integration techniques.
• Experience in designing and developing SOAP and REST Web Services.
• Experience in all of the following: J2EE (EJB, JCA, JTA, etc.), JMS, WMQ, ESQL.
• Experience in Data Modeling and Web Services (which includes XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, BEPL, etc.).
• Experience in configuring and administering IBM API Connect and IBM Data Power appliances.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
