Bilingual Paralegal

$75,000–$85,000

Wilmington, Dover, Lewes, DE or Baltimore, MD

Join an award-winning law firm that has been named one of Delaware’s Top Workplaces for multiple years running. We’re looking for an experienced Spanish/English Bilingual Paralegal to join our Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice team.

If you have 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience and enjoy working directly with clients, taking ownership of your cases, and being part of a collaborative legal team, this is an opportunity to grow your career without sacrificing work-life balance.

Your ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking clients will be highly valued. You’ll play an important role in helping clients understand the legal process while working closely with attorneys on complex personal injury and medical malpractice matters.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients, communicating in both English and Spanish throughout the life of each case.
  • Conduct client intakes, gather information, obtain documentation, and keep clients informed of case developments.
  • Manage cases from initial intake through settlement or trial.
  • Request, organize, review, and summarize medical records and billing records.
  • Prepare medical chronologies, treatment summaries, and damages analyses.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, expert witnesses, and other third parties.
  • Assist attorneys with demand packages, settlement documentation, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
  • File documents with state and federal courts and monitor filing requirements.
  • Manage litigation calendars, statutes of limitations, and other critical deadlines.
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, independent medical examinations, and court appearances.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and trial binders.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files and update case management systems.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of paralegal experience, ideally in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, or litigation.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English – written and verbal – required.
  • Experience working with medical records, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process and experience supporting attorneys through discovery, settlement, and/or trial.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills, particularly with clients who may be dealing with difficult or stressful circumstances.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with state and federal court filing procedures.
  • Experience with legal case management software such as Needles, Clio, SharePoint, OneDrive, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
  • Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Why Join Us?

  • $70,000–$85,000 salary, based on experience
  • Three-time Delaware Top Workplaces Award recipient
  • Supportive, collaborative, and professional work environment
  • Opportunity to take ownership of meaningful cases and work directly with attorneys and clients
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Retirement plan options
  • Professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • Multiple office locations: Wilmington, Dover, Lewes, DE or Baltimore, MD

If you're a bilingual paralegal with 3–5 years of litigation experience who wants to be valued for your skills, build strong client relationships, and grow with a respected firm, we'd like to hear from you.
