Aftermarket Sales Manager – Aerospace
A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking a strategic Aftermarket Sales Manager to drive business growth across commercial and defense aviation markets. This high-impact, customer-facing role is responsible for expanding aftermarket sales through airlines, MROs, OEM support centers, distributors, and strategic partners while identifying new retrofit, overhaul, upgrade, PMA, and DER opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute aftermarket sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, MROs, OEM support centers, and key industry partners.
- Identify and pursue retrofit, overhaul, upgrade, PMA, and DER business opportunities.
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and pricing recommendations.
- Research aircraft fleets, operators, and market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Travel approximately 50% to customer sites, company locations, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (engineering degree preferred).
- 10+ years of aerospace industry experience, including at least 5 years in aerospace sales (aftermarket experience preferred).
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, power generation/distribution, motors, actuators, or related aerospace systems.
- Experience working with airlines, MROs, OEMs, and engineering teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.
