Production Operator - Industrial Machinery
Description:
Production operator with 2+ years of related experience. Performs a variety of skilled duties involved to cut for production runs for the machine and fabrication departments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works from prints, sketches, shop orders, verbal instructions.
- Sets up and operates a variety of cutting equipment.
- Selects appropriate material for production runs.
- Oils and cleans machines and helps clean shop as required.
- Picks up own materials and returns finished products to designated area.
- Checks parts for conformance to specifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Good coordination and mechanical skills
- Attention to detail, and accuracy
- Good organizational skills
- Understanding reading blueprints and symbols
- Able to work independently
- Shall possess personal hand tools
- Basic computer skills required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in similar position or role
- Salary commensurate with skills and experience
Preferred:
- Experience using overhead and jib cranes
- Experience with lift machinery such as forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift
