Civil Department Manager – Land Development | South NJ
A well-established and growing civil engineering firm in South Jersey is seeking a Civil Department Manager to lead its land development team. This is a key leadership role for someone ready to drive projects, mentor staff, and play a major part in the firm’s continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of civil engineers and designers focused on land development projects
- Oversee project execution including site design, grading, drainage, and permitting
- Serve as the main point of contact for municipal clients and regulatory agencies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with local codes
- Mentor junior staff and help build a strong, collaborative team environment
- Assist with business development, client relationships, and proposal efforts
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering
- PE license required (NJ preferred)
- 8+ years of land development experience
- Strong background working with municipalities in South Jersey
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proven leadership and project management experience
