Electrical Engineer (MEP)
MEP- Electrical Engineering- Electrical Design- MEP Engineering
A growing MEP engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Opening is available for mid-level and senior engineers (EIT and/or PE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design power distribution, lighting/controls, and fire alarm systems
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and creating single-line diagrams
- Produce construction documents, specs, and technical reports
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, and local codes
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary MEP teams
- Support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, shop drawings)
Required Experience:
- BS EE required
- ~4+ years in electrical MEP design
- EIT required, PE a plus
- Experience with both AutoCAD and Revit to prepare drawings & construction document
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with critical infrastructure projects a plus (i.e. Hospitals, EOCs, Data Centers, Network Operations Centers, Critical Commercial Infrastructure)
