Vision & Robotics Engineer – Machine Vision & Controls
We are seeking a Vision & Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced vision-based automation solutions for industrial environments. This is a hands-on, project-driven role focused on delivering fully integrated systems combining machine vision, robotics, and controls.
What You’ll Do
- Design and program machine vision systems for inspection, measurement, and verification
- Integrate vision systems with PLCs, robotics, and custom automation equipment
- Develop vision-guided robotic solutions for high-speed production applications
- Configure and optimize cameras, optics, and lighting for performance and reliability
- Support system commissioning, debugging, and customer acceptance testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey automation solutions
Technical Environment
- Vision: Cognex, Keyence, Matrox Imaging
- Robotics: ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Denso
- Controls: PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks
- Programming: C/C++ and/or JavaScript
- Applications: 2D/3D vision, barcode/OCR, inspection and verification systems
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of machine vision and systems integration experience
- Strong background in industrial automation and controls
- Experience in OEM or custom machine build environments preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills
- Ability to travel (approximately 20–25%)
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 – $135,000 + bonus
