Utility Surveyor – Newark, DE
We’re looking for a Surveyor with strong utility locating experience to join a growing engineering and surveying team in the Newark, DE area. This is a great opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure and land development projects while advancing your career with a respected firm.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
- Conduct utility locating and mapping using SUE practices (Subsurface Utility Engineering)
- Operate GPS, total stations, and utility locating equipment (GPR, electromagnetic tools, etc.)
- Prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and data for CAD processing
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project standards
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of surveying experience with utility locating exposure
- Knowledge of SUE designations (Quality Levels A-D preferred)
- Experience with survey equipment and data collection software
- Ability to read plans and interpret utility records
- Strong attention to detail and field-to-finish understanding
- CST or LSIT is a plus
