Job Title: Manufacturing Operator / Technician – Plastics Extrusion/Injection Molding

Reports To: Site Manager / General Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operator to support production across three dedicated extrusion lines:
• One line for wires
• One line for cables
• One line for braided cables
Each production line includes extrusion heads, a welding station, and a cable pulling line. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of plastic-insulated cable products.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor extrusion lines for wire, cable, and braided cable production
• Set up and adjust extrusion parameters daily, including temperature, speed, and related process controls
• Set and optimize welding machine parameters to ensure consistent product quality
• Oversee cable pulling operations to maintain dimensional and mechanical specifications
• Work with one primary plastic compound (maximum of two types)
• Perform routine quality checks and coordinate testing (in partnership with subcontracted cable testing providers)
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend process improvements
• Support implementation of new compounds, solutions, and process enhancements
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Assist with first production batches in coordination with international technical teams
Team Structure
The production team consists of three core roles:
1. Extrusion Specialist (Expert Level)
• Extensive experience operating and optimizing plastic extrusion machinery
• Capable of handling similar extrusion equipment and plastic materials
• Provides technical leadership for extrusion processes
2. Electro-Mechanical Technician
• Responsible for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
• Supports welding machines, extrusion heads, and cable pulling systems
3. Production Laborer / Operator
• Assists with line setup, material handling, changeovers, and general production support
A Site Manager role may be designated from within the team to oversee daily operations and coordinate with leadership.
Additionally:
• One warehouse associate will manage raw materials, finished goods, and inventory logistics
• A subcontractor will support cable manufacturing and product testing activities

Training & Collaboration
• Selected team members will travel to France for technical training
• The French technical team will visit the U.S. facility to support initial production batches and ensure successful startup
Qualifications
• Experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing (required for extrusion specialist role)
• Knowledge of welding equipment and parameter adjustment
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to adjust process parameters and optimize production performance
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend technical improvements
• Willingness to travel internationally for training
Preferred Skills
• Experience in cable or wire manufacturing
• Knowledge of industrial plastics and extrusion compounds
• Familiarity with braided cable production processes
• Leadership capability (if serving as Site Manager)
