Field Service Technician
Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and ensuring equipment operates to specifications in demanding environments.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Perform testing using diagnostic tools (multimeters, etc.)
- Document issues, repairs, and service activity
- Travel to customer sites for equipment commissioning and service
- Verify proper installation, connections, and system performance
- Replace and service components such as motors, controls, and assemblies
- Follow all safety procedures and site requirements
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Willingness to travel 2–4 times per month
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally with customers
- Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving skills
- Reliable attendance
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required
- Technical training (electronics or related) preferred
- 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work in industrial environments
