About the Role
As the Architectural Department Head, you will oversee all aspects of the architectural team, from concept through construction. You will play a critical leadership role—guiding design excellence, managing project delivery, mentoring staff, and contributing to the firm’s strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of architects and designers
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline goals are met
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Establish and maintain design standards and best practices
- Support business development efforts, including client presentations and proposals
- Foster a collaborative, creative, and high-performance work environment
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect (NY preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects
- Strong design sensibility with technical expertise
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard architectural tools and workflows
