Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join our growing MEP engineering firm based in Queens, NY. This role involves designing, coordinating, and managing mechanical systems for a variety of commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for building projects
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and structural disciplines
- Conduct site visits, field surveys, and inspections
- Interface with clients, architects, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with NYC codes and industry standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
- 5+ years of MEP design experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building codes, and standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
- Excellent communication and project management skills
