Smart Building Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design structured cabling systems for voice, data, Wi-Fi, AV, CCTV, and security
- Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and system layouts
- Engineer and integrate network-based systems across multiple technologies
- Conduct site visits and oversee construction to ensure design compliance
- Prepare reports and coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Stay current with emerging telecom technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of telecommunications or low-voltage design experience
- Knowledge of TIA/EIA, BICSI, and IEEE standards
- Strong understanding of fiber, copper, and IP-based systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and travel as needed
- Must pass background checks as required
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- BICSI certifications (RCDD, DCDC, Installer)
