Lead Civil Engineer – (Land Development & Municipal )
We’re seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to drive our land development and municipal engineering efforts across North Carolina. If you are a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in NC with 10+ years of experience and a strong background in project leadership, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including land development and municipal infrastructure design
- Serve as primary technical lead and point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment
- Oversee preparation and review of design plans, specifications, permitting documents, and reports
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina (required)
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience with emphasis on land development and municipal projects
- Proven leadership in multi-discipline project teams
- Strong working knowledge of local/state permitting processes and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and engineering software
- Experience with public sector project delivery and infrastructure planning
