BAS / HVAC Controls Technician HVAC Controls - BAS – HVAC- Building Automation Systems- DDC Controls
Top-tier Building Automation talent is in high demand and we’re looking for someone who wants more than just service tickets.
We’re hiring an experienced BAS Field Engineer who can take ownership of system startup, commissioning, and final turnover on commercial HVAC automation projects. If you’re the person others call when systems won’t integrate, sequences don’t perform, or startups are behind schedule this role is built for you.
This is not a junior technician position. We need a field leader who can walk onto a jobsite, diagnose issues quickly, communicate confidently with contractors and end users, and deliver systems that perform on day one.
What You’ll Own:
- Full BAS checkout, startup, and commissioning
- Advanced troubleshooting (DDC, controls networks, low/medium voltage)
- Sequence validation and performance optimization
- Client training and turnover documentation
- Field problem-solving that keeps projects on schedule
- Direct collaboration with PMs, sales engineers, electricians, and mechanical contractors
Qualifications:
- Four (4) + years in BAS / HVAC Controls field work
- Strong HVAC mechanical understanding
- Experience commissioning commercial systems
- Ability to operate independently in the field
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Experience with DDC systems (Tridium, Niagara, Distech, JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, etc. a plus)
