Bridge Engineer / Project Manager

An established engineering firm is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer / Project Manager to join its Transportation team. This role will lead the design and delivery of bridge and transportation infrastructure projects for DOT, turnpike, municipal, and county clients. Projects may include new bridge design, bridge rehabilitation, inspections and structural analysis, falsework and girder erection design, traffic control, retaining walls, sound walls, and related transportation structures.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge projects from initial scoping through final design and plan delivery

• Lead the design and production of DOT, turnpike, municipal, and county transportation projects

• Oversee bridge design, rehabilitation, hydraulics coordination, and structural analysis

• Serve as primary client point of contact and maintain strong client relationships

• Prepare and support project proposals, interviews, and presentations

• Attend client meetings and coordinate with stakeholders

• Provide technical leadership and direction to production staff

• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering

• 5+ years of experience on DOT, turnpike, municipal, or county transportation projects

• Strong background in bridge design and/or roadway design

• Understanding of bridge hydraulics

• Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation products (OpenRoads, InRoads, GEOPAK)

• Experience with bridge analysis and design software such as MDX, LEAP Bridge, OpenBridge Designer, BRASS-CULVERT, LARSA, and/or BAR7

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• PE license / E.I.T preferred or ability to obtain in a timely manner

• Familiarity with local and state transportation standards preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines
