IT Security Associate
Full time direct hire. Must be local, this role is onsite in Kalispell MT.
No C2C. Must be a US Citizen or a green card holder.
We are seeking a proactive IT Security Associate to join our IT team. This entry-level role focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security events, supporting compliance, and helping maintain the credit union’s information and physical security systems.
Responsibilities include:

Monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and perform initial triage of security tickets

Administer user authentication, access controls, and security hardware (badges, cameras, sensors)

Assist with vulnerability assessments, patching, and maintaining security software and appliances

Research emerging security threats and recommend preventative measures

Support risk and compliance assessments and participate in staff security training

Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure adherence to security policies and standards
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

2+ years experience in IT or information security, including internships

Relevant IT/security certification such as A+, Security+, Net+ preferred

Familiarity with Windows security, system hardening, and firewall configurations

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
