Intellectual Property Associate
180,000 - 250,000
Our client is seeking a highly motivated IP Associate with substantial patent prosecution experience and a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, managing client portfolios, and providing strategic intellectual property counseling in electrical and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
- Prepare responses to Office Actions and conduct examiner interviews
- Perform patentability, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and landscape analyses
- Advise clients on IP strategy, portfolio development, and risk management
- Conduct due diligence in connection with transactions and litigation
- Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and in-house counsel
- Support post-grant proceedings (e.g., reexaminations, IPRs) as needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission
- Registered to practice before the USPTO
