Energy Engineer / Project Manager
A well-established consulting engineering firm in White Plains area is seeking an experienced Energy Engineer / Project Manager to support and lead a variety of energy and sustainability initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing projects, working with clients, and helping grow a team and practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver energy-related projects across a range of building types and market sectors
- Oversee technical analyses, audits, and performance studies
- Support energy compliance, benchmarking, and sustainability initiatives
- Lead project teams and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and train junior staff members
- Work closely with firm leadership on project execution and overall practice development
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in energy engineering, building systems, or related consulting work
- Experience managing projects and leading teams
- Working knowledge of energy regulations, efficiency programs, and incentive structures
- Familiarity with energy audits and commissioning activities
- Professional certifications (CEM, CBCP, or similar) are a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills and interest in long-term growth within a firm
