Senior Accountant
El Paso TX
Summary
As a Senior Accountant you will handle preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, account reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of financial reporting packages for investors and lenders
- Preparation of quarterly financial statements and investor reports
- Research and analyze variances in financial statements
- Prepares debt covenant calculations on a quarterly and as needed basis
- Advise on complex financial reporting and compliance issues that arise
- Analyze metrics including time-weighted returns, internal rates of returns, internal rates of return and waterfall calculations
- Advise on investment activity including acquisitions and liquidation
- Ensure GAAP compliance and financial reporting requirements are followed
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting
- Manage external auditor requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 4+ years’ experience in public accounting with asset management and/or real estate clients
- CPA is preferred
- 4+ years of investment accounting and financial reporting experience
- MS Office including advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP
- ERP systems experience
- Asset Management/Real Estate/Finance industry experience
- Self-starter with multi-tasking abilities looking for career advancement
- Ability to produce accurate work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
