Salary: $70,000–$90,000

About the Position:
Seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer/Designer to support Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MPFP) design on medium to large-scale projects. Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, this role contributes to educational, commercial, multi-residential, and hospitality projects, including new construction and renovations. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality design packages.
Responsibilities:

Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings

Assist with specifications, feasibility studies, and site analyses

Perform gas utility load calculations and heat load calculations

Support high-rise pressurization plans and BMS/HVAC control systems

Assist during construction phase (submittals, RFIs, site visits)

Support energy modeling efforts

Travel as needed for projects
Qualifications:
-
BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, EnergyPro, MS Office

Familiarity with IMC, IPC, IECC, CA Title 24

Strong communication and teamwork skills
