Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer — Nashville, TN
We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead and support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Tennessee. This role involves serving as a technical leader and/or project manager on municipal projects in water and wastewater treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams through study, planning, design, construction administration, and start‑up phases
- Produce engineering deliverables: calculations, equipment sizing/selection, technical specs, cost estimates, schedules, reports
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant standards and regulations
- Oversee project performance to meet budget, schedule, quality, and profitability goals
- Coordinate staffing and workload planning throughout project lifecycle
- Conduct QA/QC on documents, data, calculations
- Interface directly with clients; maintain clear, detailed communication with clients and internal teams
- Contribute to proposals, business development, and marketing as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or related Engineering discipline
- 15+ years of experience in municipal or industrial water/wastewater systems
- Licensed PE in Tennessee; additional registrations in Alabama, Georgia, or South Carolina preferred
- Deep technical background in water or wastewater treatment plant design
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD
