SCADA Systems Engineer – Delaware
$100,000 to $120,000 | Direct Hire 

Join a utility-focused engineering team where deep technical expertise is valued and leveraged daily. This role involves end-to-end SCADA system engineering—from interface design and field device integration to data analysis and continuous optimization. You’ll work hands-on with critical infrastructure technologies, ensuring performance, security, and uptime for substation and distribution automation systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Engineer and deploy SCADA and HMI systems for electric substations and field automation platforms

  • Program and configure control system components, including RTUs, PLCs, and protocol gateways

  • Maintain and troubleshoot installed SCADA infrastructure, including networked devices and associated software environments

  • Analyze historical and live system data to improve reliability, response times, and operational clarity

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify control improvements and implement design revisions

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship or current Green Card

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SCADA platforms such as:

    • Ignition (Inductive Automation)

    • Emerson OSI

    • Wonderware / AVEVA

    • Siemens SICAM

    • ABB MicroSCADA

  • Deep understanding of utility field equipment (relays, IEDs, RTUs, communications hardware) and their workflows

  • Proficiency with Windows-based development and configuration environments for SCADA and HMI systems

  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms, scripting, or SQL is beneficial but not required
