Building Automation Controls Designer
My client is a well known Mechanical Contractor and Building Automation Contractor. They are actively seeking a Building Automation Design Engineer with strong design and engineering abilities. Knowledge of the Building Automation installation process. Right candidate will survey existing installations and develop a simple and cost-effective solution for the customer. • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of building codes as they relate to mechanical and electrical construction. • Support field installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of building automation systems. • Able to explain technical solutions to non-technical clientele. • Prioritize, self-motivate and complete necessary administrative tasks in a fast-paced, customer service environment. • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen. • Training on hardware and software for Distech controls and AutoCAD if needed. • Ability to travel between Philadelphia and Boston, approximately 20% travel • Additional responsibilities from time to time, as the Company’s needs change. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar field of study • 7-10 years of HVAC Controls experience • Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and programming • Design experience with Distech and/or Tridium is ideal • Experience using AutoCAD and Revit • Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based document control and collaborative software (e.g. MS Teams, Autodesk Build, Autodesk BIM 360, SharePoint, Bluebeam, etc.) • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and leadership skills.
