Controls Engineer

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Controls Engineering (or related field) and 3 years of professional experience
- Extensive background in PLC code development
- Experience with motion control systems, VFDs, and Servos (Siemens preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution and NEC
- HMI programming experience (Aveva preferred)
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Experience (not required):
- Field service engineering or technician background
- System integration of third-party equipment and programming
- Archestra System Platform
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with process control and PID tuning
- Experience in roofing manufacturing or web process handling
- Machine Vision or Vision Inspection Systems installation and programming experience
- Experience with IIOT Devices
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must be able to wear all plant-mandatory PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, ear protection, and face covering)
- Ability to work in both an office and production floor environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, and crawling
- May be exposed to temperature fluctuations, moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, and chemicals
