Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team and lead a variety of civil engineering projects in residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and government sectors. This position is ideal for a licensed professional engineer who thrives in both technical design and business development, and is looking to play a leadership role in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee civil engineering projects for land development, municipal, and institutional clients.
• Lead and mentor technical staff, providing guidance on project design and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with the management team on business development, identifying and nurturing relationships with key industry stakeholders.
• Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs.
• Develop site plans, grading and utility plans, and stormwater management designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and are completed within the established scope, schedule, and budget.
• Contribute to the firm's strategic direction and collaborate across multiple offices to foster growth and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland.
• Minimum of 6+ years of progressive project management experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development and government sector projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, balance client needs, and deliver creative, practical solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong analytical skills, with a proactive approach to assessing project requirements and resolving technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and external partners.
• Demonstrated experience in business development and establishing professional relationships within target markets.
