Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2015 or newer
- Experience with panel layouts, electrical wiring schematics, and PLC/IO wiring diagrams
- In-depth knowledge of UL508A Industrial Control Panels and NEC requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve controls and electrical system issues
- Familiarity with servo/stepper motion control, PID loops, and safety systems
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in controls engineering
- Willingness to travel occasionally (10-15%)
- Positive attitude and team player mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complete control systems for manufacturing equipment
- Develop electrical bill of materials and work with vendors for purchasing
- Collaborate with machine design engineers on custom machine control systems
- Identify and implement design improvements to reduce manufacturing costs
- Mentor and train electrical department on standard practices and quality procedures
- Ensure completion of machine electrical phase prior to startup
- Document and maintain electrical assembly processes
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving field issues related to controls systems
- Follow company policies and safety regulations
