Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Detroit. This Hybrid position offers both in office and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will possess technical accounting experience, a strong understanding of GAAP, and proficiency with SAP. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, along with U.S. citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts.
- Analyze financial statements and performance metrics in accordance with GAAP.

Technical Accounting:
- Apply technical accounting principles and standards to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Perform technical accounting research and analysis on complex issues.

SAP Utilization:
- Leverage SAP for financial data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and update SAP financial modules as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues in financial reporting.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide insights.
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Analyst with a strong background in technical accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and advanced knowledge of GAAP.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
