Manager of Software Engineering
Our client has an opening for a hands on Software Engineering Manager/Lead This is a full time direct hire role with a rapidly growing company based out of Philadelphia. The role will work on a hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and vision, ensuring the engineering team aligns with strategic business objectives.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions using Java, Spring, JPA, and Postgres.
- Champion the adoption and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing engineering team by mentoring, coaching, and providing career development opportunities.
- Manage technical debt and promote best practices in software development, including version control with Git and project management with Atlassian tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, etc.) to ensure seamless software delivery.
- Champion technical innovation, staying abreast of the latest trends in Java and web technologies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Apply a working knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles to inform software design decisions.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Java, Spring, JPA, Postgres, CI/CD technologies, Git, and Atlassian tools.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Passion for building and inspiring high-performing teams.
