Attorney Recruiting Manager - Chicago Law Firm - Hybrid schedule - $110-125k
*Current/prior attorney recruiting experience within a law firm is 100% required!
The Attorney Recruiting Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the recruitment of top-tier legal talent for our firm. This role requires a strategic understanding of the legal industry, excellent recruiting skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive attorney recruiting strategy, aligned with the firm's or department's growth objectives.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and qualifications they seek in potential hires.
- Source, identify, and attract qualified attorney candidates through various channels, including online recruiting platforms, legal job boards, professional organizations, and law school career services.
- Screen and evaluate resumes and cover letters to identify candidates with the required skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Conduct initial candidate interviews to assess fit for the role and the firm culture.
- Manage the interview process, scheduling interviews with hiring managers and coordinating logistics.
- Negotiate salary and benefits packages with candidates.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
- Stay up-to-date on legal industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting best practices.
- Analyze recruiting data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruiting process.
- Maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal associations, and other recruiting partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in legal recruiting.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting top-tier attorneys.
- In-depth knowledge of the legal industry and practice areas.
- Strong understanding of legal recruiting best practices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient in recruiting software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
