Responsibilities:
- Manage projects of various sizes
- Contribute to the design of roadway alignments and other related projects
- Mentor and train younger staff
- Plan and schedule work
- Communicate and coordinate with clients
- Manage project budgets and scopes
- Participate in the planning and design of transportation projects
Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- 8-15+ years of experience in roadway engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in North Carolina
- Experience with NCDOT Design-Did-Build, Design-Build, and/or CMGC projects
- Proficiency in design software tools such as MicroStation, In-Roads, and GEOPAK
- Ability to develop and manage scope, manhour, and fee estimates
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desired Requirements:
- OpenRoads Designer (ORD) experience/training
- Alternative Delivery experience including PPP and Progressive Design-Build procurement
- Design-Build experience in SC, GA, WV, and/or VA
- Experience in General Engineering Services Consultant (GESC) role
- Construction phase engineering services experience
