Structural Engineer
Looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the water infrastructure industry? Join my client- growing team at their growing engineering firm as a Structural Team Leader! In this role, you will have the chance to lead and manage a group of talented engineers, work on exciting projects, and be involved in business development and marketing initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Take projects from conceptual planning to bid ready documents
- Design a variety of materials including concrete, CMU, steel, aluminum, and FRP
- Support regional teams with business development activities
- Perform structural assessments of existing facilities
- Develop conceptual and detailed structural designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Manage and mentor teams, coordinate schedules and budgets, and ensure quality work products
- Be involved in client meetings, industry conferences, and serve as a subject matter expert
- Recruit top talent for the structural team
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and fees
- Drive detailed design through coordination with other support disciplines
- Plan and execute structural staff workload
- Comply with quality program and develop standards and tools
- Travel occasionally for business development and project support
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
- 10+ years of structural design experience with 2+ years in project/team leadership
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- PE license in multiple states (not required, but a huge plus!)
- 15+ years of design experience with 5+ years in project/team leadership (not required, but a huge plus!)
- Proven experience in concrete, masonry, and structural steel design (not required, but a huge plus!)
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment systems (not required, but a huge plus!)
- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering (not required, but a huge plus!)
- Registration as a SE or willingness to take the NCEES Structural Engineer exam (not required, but a huge plus!)
- Working knowledge of Revit CAD programs (not required, but a huge plus!)
